Our vineyard is located in the northernmost part of Rheinhessen, where the steep foothills of the hill country flow down to the Rhine. Limestone and quartzite can be found on the steep slopes - ancient soil formations that characterise our best vineyards.

We have concentrated on the stoniest sites from an early stage. And here, in particular, we focused on the expressive limestone and quartzite soils. Our 25 hectares of vineyards in the best locations of northern Rheinhessen are planted with 40 % Riesling and 50 % Burgundy varieties.

Our winery is located on the outskirts of Appenheim, in northern Rheinhessen. The vineyards are spread over the communities of Appenheim, Gau-Algesheim, Bingen am Rhein and Siefersheim.

Each of the locations is associated with certain soils, grape varieties and climatic conditions, which we address with meticulous craftsmanship.

In addition to the climatic differences, it is the ancient parent rocks limestone, quartzite and porphyry that have a great influence on our wines.

Our wine collection is based on a clear and simple philosophy: "The closer to the origin, the higher the quality."
